Chest Hair on Guys- What Are YOUR Thoughts?

First off I'd like to say that I think it's that it was decided to add this forum
Now to get to the point of this thread, Mr. Cypher's post on how people felt about guys' facial hair got me thinking about something else hair related that's always puzzled me.
The issue of how people feel about chest hair.
I've got a Sicilian father and I've had a hairy chest since I was like twelve (also the age I started having to shave my face regularly) and I've encountered quite mixed reactions to it over the years.
I'm not beastly or anything, it's pretty much confined to my chest/abdomen and I keep it neat and tidy so it doesn't look 'fluffy' or 'taco meat-y' but I could never imagine shaving it like so many do today. Tried when I was 13 and it was a pain in the ass afterwords and I swore I'd never do it again, I don't know how today's Dolce & Gabbana/Abercrombie & Fitch culture drones put up with it.
I notice I get very strong, very polar reactions to it. Seems like people either think it's teh sEks or think it's gross and dirty.
I know the bare baby-butt-smooth looks has been en vogue for the past few years and it seemed like chest hair disappeared from all American men in the media for a while and almost was like it became taboo for a bit but you're seeing it more frequently again now and wondered what the general consensus here would be on the subject.
What say you, Shroomery?

Yeah I have an italian dad as well and somewhat of a hairy chest. The ladies I've been with have really liked it, but then I again I haven't been with many.

When I was in my teens & early 20s, I was repulsed by chest hair on guys. But as I got older, my tastes changed... Nowadays a chest without hair looks boyish and unattractive to me.
My man has the perfect amount of hair on his chest. I like to stroke it... My nips are getting hard just thinking about it.

Yeah, that's why I lick the non-hairy parts while petting the hairy parts. Win-win.

Sounds like my kinda lover
Another reason why I don't think I'd ever get rid of it I FUCKING LOVE getting petted and played with by a lady and getting treated like a teddy bear
When I'm trying to go to sleep, during foreplay, during sex, after sex, chilling on the couch watching a movie.
I love it when a special lady friend likes to stroke and run her fingertips through it.
It's like I'm a dog getting my belly scratched It's so fucking relaxing/comforting and arousing at the same time
it

Im a man with an EXTREMELY hairy chest (think Austin Powers). I found that women either love it or hate it. Either they sit there all night stroking it and swooning or they are so repulsed they want nothing to do with it. There is little middle ground.

I have no chest hair at all and i think my chest/belly looks boyish.
However, all the girls i've spoken with say "consider yourself lucky that you don't have a hairy chest."

My front side is covered. Shaving it bare hurts. It has been a source of self consciousness in the past but I'm o.k. with it now.
I'm going to a pool party soon and I'm going to unveil the swathe in all it's glory. If they don't like it, they can refrain from looking at it lol.

You should whip up a lather with a brush and use an oldfashioned double edge (safety) razor.

Shaving is easy and the hair isnt as coarse as it grows back. Cartridge razors suck, not just for the beard but especially in body shaving.

I always wanted chest hair but it never grew in. I have like 3 in the middle that I just pluck out. I know i would feel sexier if I had some? I see the guys on the beach with a pelt and feel very envious to tell you the truth. I'm basically hairless from the waist up, sadly...

I was never very hairy, which I'm glad about. I almost always shave what little hair I do have, the bare chested look is better aesthetically, I think.

I'm a heterosexual man with a very hairy body.
I like my body hair, except when I have to do medical stuff that involves adhesives. It helps keep me warm.
I don't have an opinion about other men's hair.
In my general experience, it seems like the ladies are not often very neutral about it. It's either a huge turn-on or it weirds them out. I used to be more self-conscious about it at times, but I really don't think about it much anymore. I figured out a long time ago that if attraction isn't a 2-way street, then it's a boring street to drive on. Anyhow, my wife digs it.
I ended up on a pub crawl of prominent gay bars in my city recently, and I felt like a scantily clad 19 year old girl the entire time lol

I personally don't like chest hair, but it really depends on fitness level cause chest hair isn't a dealbreaker for me.
