    #1266106 - 01/31/03 04:46 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

I just made a couple of cakes with honey, in one i used just a little off the fork i dipped in. in the other i used maybe half a teaspoon. These are added to the regular brf/vermic......i noticed a bunch of honey collected at the bottom of the one i used more honey on....is this bad? can you ever have to much honey?
peace and love,
m

yes you can definitely have too much. thought i answered this for you earlier. anyway, ratio = 96% water 4% honey. no more no less. for 100ml water is roughly 4 grams of honey. remember this. goto mycotopia.net and browse the teks and print out the honey tek. a good idea for anyone is to find all the teks they plan to use and print them.

not exactly....

this tek you pointed me to is for making spore syringes.....This is helpful, but not what i'm doing....i would think that the myceleium, if given the time and the right conditions (other than JUST water and honey), they might be able to consume all the honey. At any rate it says for optimal conditions, my question is if it will work with more honey, in a different setting.

:quote: For those who figure that close is good enough, roughly 1 tablespoon of honey per pint will work.
so i figure i worked it right anyway, but instead of using honey syringe i used honey substrate.....
