no, peat refers to sphagnum moss. will it work?... very likely just adjust the pH.

Sounds like a coco-peat mixture or something.

"Canna Coco Peat is Ideal for pot culture or other bulk uses. This product feature high quality, cleaned and pre-treated Coco Coir. Used by comercial growers and the hobbyist. Very popular all over the world due to its consistant quality.  The Canna Coco Peat is also organic and makes good compost when used so don't waste any use it on your garden."

(oh yeah, and coco coir has absolutely no PEAT in it)

No tellin what's behind the black curtain there but my bet would be a coco-coir/peat mixture.

Peace,

well, it may be just straight coco, if so great! if not great!, just inspect it and test the pH.
