A shotgun style FC would probably be better for this strain? and lots of fanning, of course.

For a bulk, a monotub works best, but you really need to watch the sub moisture. I took all the polyfil out of my uncased mono for one night, and all the moisture evapped from the sub into the mycelium on top of it, and made it look like a shitty mess - that was on my other mono from this grow which I had a different thread going for. I ended up drying it out and dunking it and got a pretty epic flush out of it!

They do great in shotguns or automated shotguns.

Here's what I would do.
My automated setup. Watt Ballasts automated setup.
Both setups are very similar the primary difference is mine is modular and I use PF blocks while wattballasts uses grain spawn -> bulk trays.

Here are pics of just before most of the harvest, though I did let some of the youngins mature for a few days after this harvest:

And one cool ass mutant, the cap grew inside out - gills on the outside:

Awesome flush from such a shitty start (to me)

Hey c1dh3d, how long did it take for you to see pins? Did the pins show up at the same time as the blobs?
I have a tub of PE that has been in fruiting conditions for about 2 weeks now. All I have are those mutant blobs. Lots of little mutant blobs. They aren't growing very much either. Some are solid white and some are off white and speckled with brown spots. The Mutants showed up a week ago. Not a single pin yet.

All I saw was blobs for the first 4-5 days, then I saw the pics in my first post, then I got mainly all fruits after pins formed. Oddly enough, the blobs stayed the same size til I got pins, and as the pins got bigger the blobs followed suit. Id say this flush took a bit over two weeks from first blob sighting til harvest of the above pics.

To initially see the blobs, id say it took about two weeks in fruiting conditions.

When they're fully mature they will start to bruise slightly around the gills and where the stem meets the cap. You can always harvest before that though.
Personally, I'd harvest those soon then convert that FC into a true shotgun terrarium and your second flush will be much better.

I'd have to say I agree with spongifoam The results from a set and forget monotub with PE has kinda sucked for me.
My results worked much better when I manually fanned it 3 times a day
I'm thinking of moving to trays setting in a shotgun with perlite

Here is where my tub is sitting as of right now.
Should I wait this out for a few more days? I've never seen anything like this.

I'd go ahead and harvest them. Some of them are mature and the rest are not far behind. Some of those are just mutants which is normal when, especially on the first flush. Provided you're giving them proper conditions your 2nd flush should be more normal.
I'd recommend slicing those big fatties into potato chip style slices before dehydrating.
I can see one of those sideways caps on the top left, I love those things.

Or properly fan and mist it instead of removing the poly-fil.

It's a bit more expensive then traditional methods but I like using 2" circular luevered soffit vents instead of polyfill. I think they're $6 for 8 or so.
