I have no problem with this. I hope the threat alone is enough and we never need to do it. Hopefully the threat will make some think twice.

I didn't say that. Frankly, I don't recall anyone using chemical weapons in Iraq. Oh wait, Saddam did on the Kurds and the Iranians.

You don't think we were his only supplier do you?

And even if we were, we'll fix that mistake. And sadly we'll probably make more. (if for no other reason than to give you a chance to say it's all about oil)

Nuclear response? That's nothing... he's already brought up the option of a preemptive nuclear strike against "rogue nations". Which in my opinion is a bigger deal. That means we hit them with the nukes before they make any act of war against us. Historically, the US has only entered a war in retaliation to another country's aggression- although we may go to quite some lengths to incite or even fabricate that provocation. This is a new policy, and not a surprising one, but it should be a reason for concern.

m hm.. North Korea doesnt seem very happy about;
1. being included in the axis of evil
2. being a possible target of a preemptive nuclear strike

so what do they do? tell the world "we have a nuke programe (and probably a couple nukes). we also have ballistic missiles. oh, and if you want to threaten us, remember that we are perfectly capable of launching an attack on seattle!"

Some people keep saying that at this moment in history, the USA is seizing this golden moment it has now to really entrench itself. USA is trying to achieve global hegemony.

Now it's finding it's nice guy image less usefull? Rogue nations indeed.

It's so ironic isn't it. We'll bomb you with nuclear weapons as punishment because you might be producing them.That and thier failure to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.

Are you serious? Do you REALLY think that North Korea is a threat to the U.S.? Do you think it is right to kill the innocent along with the guilty? Didn't you express Christian sentiments in the S&P forum? What would Jesus Christ do, are these the actions he would want us to engage in?

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

How exactly do you "secretly" nuke a country? Do you not think anyone would notice? Also...by your logic, it would be okay for any country to nuke the States for forcing their will on any country they choose....
