Motherfucking birds!

I haven't been able to get shit for sleep ever since the beginning of the week because this family of like fucking 30 birds decided to move into this AC unit on the roof of the building next to me. They start making noise around 6AM and do not shut the fuck up until about 3 in the afternoon. I'm starting to lose my damn mind.

Short of buying a pellet gun and just picking the bastards off, do anyone have any suggestions as to how I can make these fuckers relocate or just... shut the fuck up?

Get one of those Super Soakers, put something like water and a little bit of vinegar or something unpleasant smelling like that in it.  I can't imagine it being too harmful, just more annoying for the birds than anything else.

Thing is, I can't see them half the time so that wouldn't do me much good. And I live on a busy street, I don't think the people on the sidewalks would like to get soaked with vinegar water.

Anyone know if those fake owls or hawks actually work? Might stick one of those things out my window. Or I'll just get a real falcon and have it eat all those damned little noisy birds.

A pellet gun will be your best bet, unfortunately. The owls only work to keep the birds from roosting on your roof/eaves. I had a mocking bird outside my window some years ago and the fucker would start up every night around 2am, which is usually the time that I am just laying down for sleep. In a fit of drunken rage one night, I went out and started throwing whatever I could find into the tree that it lived in. I threw a golf club, rocks, crushed cans, and I even attempted to climb the tree to rip it's nest out.:lol: It didn't work. The bastard still didn't leave. It eventually moved on, but not before testing my sanity and resolve to kill it.

What kind of birds are they?

I'd say be happy that you can hear birds outside your window-- it's better than the average sounds of the city. I'd say with time you will get used to it.

I used to be woken up by a family of crows or something living in the trees in my front yard. Each morning, at sunrise, the 'CAW CAW CAW' would begin. I didn't get much sleep for a while and hated them-- but I ended up enjoying it-- after a couple weeks-- I miss it now that all I get to hear outside my window is traffic.

i'd like to submit my complaint for not getting any sleep.  construction right outside of my apartment this morning.  hacksaws, chainsaws, whatever kind of electric saws that make lots of noise.

And yeah, I had the same problem back when I lived with my parents, every fucking year we would get those fucking annoying mocking birds... they would start fucking singing from like 2am to 6am LOUDLY....so one night me and my dad pulled out the jack daniels and got out our pellet guns and didn't go to bed till we killed every damn fucker there was...we also got extremely wasted because it took like 2 hours to get em all :lol:

Nope, I found that reading Gumbys posts are a waste of time. Hes like a presidential candidate, where he never says anything that could cause any type of controversy, are generally pretty damn lame, and could be considered about exciting as a rock...

I had a Red Robin that would come and fight with its reflection in my window about 10-15 times a day. I'd just be chillin in da room and BLAM! the bird would smack the window and scare the shit out of me.
