They both look like willies to me but I am far from an expert, definitely nice though. Good job raising those from seed

Is it effecting the plant negatively in any way? Sounds weird, could they be bug eggs possibly?

Check out the colors of the pups this graft is pushing out, is it from too much light maybe? They look like red/ blue, it is really pretty honestly.

Both pictures are of the same pot, one pic just has a dime for size reference. There's a second tiny guy next to the relatively large one. Unless you meant both in the same pot were williamsii. To me though, they look like different species but I know two two of the same species can look different due to variations in origin location. But I'm by no means an expert, I'm just trying to pick up as much knowledge as I can on this journey maybe it'll help me on my next long journey.

Those variety seed pavks are bitch. When i first started growing i got some that you couldnt even tell what the fuck was what. I have very little remaining form that bunch.
But the big one is definitely williamsii and the second one you should graft asap. Seeing as its 3 yrs old and slower than the other, the genetics are different. Use a fast growing stock to speed up the growth to really see what you got there.

Great idea ferrel, I have been meaning to try grafting the top of one or both of the two willy graphs I have too. They are on pere right now but I want one on a big cacti.
I want to try and graft em to a pach so they grow as fast as possible, I am very excited for it.

That is awesome, I have been slowly upping my Peruvian collection for awhile but I don't have any big ones yet really.
They are very beautiful though, I would feel bad using them for grafting unless I had some extra like you. One day

This one in ideal conditions can grow up to 3 feet per year. No joke.

So I've got a peyote on a san pedro and the graft has taken hold really well and is about 3 times it's original size (its about like a dime atm) it's really healthy
Will it throw out some pups when summer arrives?
It's been growing steadily with only a few strong hours or sunlight a day.
It's so fun to see. Everyday it swells a little more haha.

Is it a willy graft? I have a caespitosa graft I did which is throwing out several pups already even though it is pretty small. I also have 2 willy grafts which are much bigger and thicker but have yet to pup at all. i am sure genetics and the grafting stock make a difference as well so it is hard to say really.
If it doesn't and you really want it to you could experiment with BAP, I have yet to use it personally but it can do crazy things to cacti.

Yeah but the thing is..., that orange scale... it's kinda hard to see in the pics... it comes off easily.. it's little speckles... thought it was bugs.. but they don't move...
This is a new recent thing when I got them there was no orange scales/speckles

Fricii's are my fastest growers but they take forever to get the central wool section for some reason
I think I have 1 Willie graft that will flower here soon as I start to water them again

Neither did I! Clocks shift at the weekend though so I can get back to waking by 4am
Fricii and diffusa do seem to mature at a slower rate than williamsii, given similar conditions. I've not tried my technique on speeding them up whilst grafted.
