Sclerotia, is it worth the wait?

I was thinking about maybe giving this a try but I really have little information about it. Your thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
Also, how would one collect spores from this? Does it produce the occasional mushroom too?

you can cut open a stone and clone it either on agar or in honey water. or you could go grain to grain to keep it going. my cloned stones did better than the original multispore bag. and yes, it is worth trying

Ahh, I never thought about cloning the sclerotia, nor did I know that you could use the yellow water to clone. (thats gonna come in handy in a few days, I dont have any agar at the moment)
I think I might give it a try, but at 2/3 the potency of a regular cubensis, it might be awhile before I do... I just like the idea of it being more dense than a standard shroom, and I have plenty of time left in my life to wait for another crop. And of course plenty of things to keep me occupied in the meantime
I still would like to actually get spores from it though instead of cloning (for storage purposes). Looks like I have some experimentation ahead of me
Aint this hobby grand?

"did I know that you could use the yellow water to clone" what yellow water? honey water?
"2/3 the potency of a regular cubensis" many say its stronger than cubensis, it depends on many factors. it is a different experience than cubes so is worth trying. tastes much better too
"I still would like to actually get spores from it though instead of cloning (for storage purposes)." i have fresh stones im my fridge that about 6 months old. they are meant to stay good for years and can be cut open any time and cloned

Yes, I meant honey water. Sorry for the confusion.
The 2/3 potency thing I picked up from another site. I have a theory that the density can add confusion to the whole potency deal, and I am very aware that potency varies.
Stay good for years in the fridge and still be cloned eh? Thats a real added bonus there !
I was also curious about the taste too, thank you for answering my unasked question. Thank you very much for your information, you have just made up my mind for me
