Salvia problem...
    #1254640 - 01/28/03 06:22 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Ok, mybe some of you remeber what happened to my sally plants, the leaves started to go yellow a bit, and then started to fall of... well, it's happening again!!!
one the same plant, and a new established cutting!! they were moved like 2 week a go, not far from some fluos, and next to a south window, the humidity goes from 40 to 60%, no real big change, just from when I mist and when I come back in the evening... I water them a little bit every 3-4 day, and I put some fertilizer yesterday.. what is the problem??!!

it could be too much fertilizer, the soil youput the cuttings in has probably enough nutriets in it already. for the watering, better water once good and water the next time it's needed.
just my 2 cents...

good luck

I don't think overfertilizing is the problem, because it the second time I fertilize them since they are in their pots.. a couple of month for one, and 1 month for the other.. I'll try just watering a good time, instead of a little at a time... Thanx for your concern..

Could be a bacterial wilt.

perhaps you have a verticullum infection?

Verticullum classically kills off large sections of foliage while leaving others intact. Are only the new leaves green and ALL fo the rest dead and wilting and yellowing? or are some left unharmed?

but it still could be fetilizer burn , are you diluting the fert. properly?

or what is , i think its nitrogen deprivation maybe. that could be it

It's only the bottom leavesn then gradually coming up to the top leaves.. the first ime it happened, only 2 paire of leaves remained... but hey, I think it's going better, at least it's not growing up, just 2 bottom leaves who are yellow, the top ones are dark green, very nice! I know who to dose fertilizer, these are not my first plants!
Perhaps a nitrogen problem, I'll try the pea method as for the mimosa seedlings, etc... keep you updated!
thanx
