Phalaris arundinacea

Is Phalaris arundinacea a viable source of DMT? Also, does it contain more 5-MeO-DMT than DMT?

Word around the net is a hybridized species that the government made to prevent staggers in cattle and sheep in grazing lands. I don't particularly believe this as i've never read any source in any book in any of my studies to show this. Since Phalaris Arundinacea was known to writiers of antiquity but not for its psychoactive effects. So therefore i deduce that it can't be a resulting hybridized species of recent from government work. But, i think pretty much your mileage may vary with potency of this grass. Some have said it's a good source and some say it's shit from experience.

From Plants of the Gods

"The entire grass contains indole alkaloids, which are highly variable according to their species, tribe, position and harvet. In most, DMT, MMT, and 5-MeO DMT are to be found the grass also contain high concentrations of gramine, an extremely toxic alkaloid" (Schultes, et al, 54).

Also:
"The Turkey Red Variety of Phalaris Arundinacea contain liberal amounts of DMT" (Schultes, et al., 138).

Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky

You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by

I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me

I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free
