    #1261857 - 01/30/03 01:07 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

this is one of 6 jars inoculated 1/27. is this mycelium growth, or is it BRF that is too moist protruding to the outside of the jar? feel free to ask questions and i will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

The jar looks OK to me. Maybe a little too wet, but nothing really serious.

It might be the early stage of mycelial growth or it might be soggy flour, it's hard to tell from the pictures. What concerns me is how shiny the verm is towards the top of the jar, as though the flour dripped off of it. When it's properly mixed the BRF coats the verm uniformly and it no longer looks shiney.
