Best pre-made agar plates for Cultivation

My friend may have access to many types of agar plates. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which of the following agar mixtures would be suitable in nutrients and pH for cultivation
TSA- Tryptic Soy Agar- 1 blue stripe
Nutrient- 2 blue stripes
SDA- Sabourands Dextrose agar - 1 green
Bacto- 2 green
MYM- 1 black
Marine- 2 black
TJA- Tomato Juice Agar - glucose - 1 red
TJA- sucrose- 2 red
MacKonkey's - 1 blue/ 1 red
MacKonkey's + Kanomycin - 1 blue/ 2 red
TSA +MgSO4 +(AMP) - 3 blue.
He also has access to Tryptic Soy Broth - a liquid medium, he thought it might be suitable for mycelial inncoulation.
Thanks a lot

call me a dummy but what are the number/color combos? a cursory glance and the only recognizable possibility (to me) would be SDA.

The stripes are to distinguish between plates. The stripe is on the plate itself, not the agar. Sorry about the confusion.

Oh yes, the number preceeding the color is the amount of stripes. Example: 2 red = 2 red stripes side by side.

Sabourauds is your best best bet amongst those listed.
MacKonkey and marine are probably the least likely to help you out.
I have had success using TSA, but it was absolutely inferior in performance to PDA or Sabourauds. [BTW, PDA outperforms Sabourauds, at least in several species I have tried including cubensis].
The one that I don't quite understand is 'Bacto'. Is that just the powdered agar? I have some 'Bacto' agar, the company has since been bought up. If it is the case, then this 'plain agar' can be combined with potato water, dextrose, and yeast extract [or yeast] to make fantastic fungal plates. I don't know if that is the case, as the title of your post is 'premade agar plates'.
The problem with using TSB [the broth] is that it will grow just about ANYTHING. For a home cultivator, honey is actually a better option because it is somewhat selective. TSB will contaminate extremely easy at home [it's formulated for bacteria, sort of designed to contaminate]. If you are in a lab and can perform inoculations in a hood or such, it will work. There are better liquid formulae described in TMC/GGMM specific to our fungal friends.

Why don't you do one of each in the name of research

There is also a plate called 'spirit blue' the lab. it is only agar and contains no nutrients. Would it be worth boiling this down and adding nutrients?

I might be interested in that, but right now my mind is on getting some done to the finish.
I have a quite possibly contaminated spore print here that I made about a year back. If i do a streak for isolated colonies, do you think it would work out?
Or should i just order another syringe?

Try it! No point in buying some spores if you have some already. The worst that'll happen is the loss of a plate.
But, be sure to transfer a chunk to another plate as fast as possible, so if there are any contam's present, they don't have as much of a chance.

Now that I think about it, the probable reason why SDA plates dont work as well as PDA is because their pH ~4. Although SDA is a plate suited to fungi, it is a substrate that will inhibit most bacterial growth while remaining a suitable substrate for filamentous fungi (mold).
