Identification in Ohio
    #12614221 - 05/23/10 01:24 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

Habitat:
I like in Northeast Ohio. It just rained, pretty heavily, for about two days. Today has been a semi-mild (70-74 degree) and pretty humid. There was a good amount of sun until about 1:30 est when it became a little overcast. I found the mushrooms growing in my yard, just in the grass. No fertalizer that I know of.

Stem:
As you can see in the pictures, the stem is short and gold/brownish. The stem is also hollow, very similar to a dandelion stem.

Cap:
You can see the cap in the picture. But, I found one mushroom in the backyard, while the others were in the front. The one in the backyard's cap was curved up, instead of down (convex or concave? I get the definitions mized up, lol). Other than that, the backyard mushroom looked exactly the same to my untraied eye. The odd mushroom can be seen in the picture if I remember correctly. It is the destroyed mushroom, it fell apart.

Working on a spore print, currently.

Other information:
The sent was almost refreshing. Almost cool/mintish, but with a faint ssour kick. It wasn't a bad smell by any means.

Well, the upload device isn't working, so I attempted to use imageshack, it did not workl either. I will continue to work on this... just a moment.

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

NWPA here, and all I seem to find are foes. I think it may need to be in the 80's for subbs. Is this correct?
