the mind is made up of cells with very specific functions.

water is not made up of cells.  it is simply molecules of hydrogen and oxygen.

duh!

water flows, and does not resist or fight what comes in its way. the mind seems to look for things to fight with

hmm our bodies are about 70% water.
every living cell is packed with dna that requires the medium of water to exist within.
so the 3.2 or so liters of brain in your skull actually consists of about 2.24 liters of water.....and so many millions of miles of dna strands.

further than that, view huxley's comparison that the mind is a reducing valve to regulate the inflow of thought.
we don't have any original thoughts , we only have revelations.

if you fall into water from an appropiate height, it will act as a solid and you will
separate from your meat puppet.

of course cells need water to exist.  but water is not made up of cells.  just because cells contain water does not make them the same thing.  there are obvious and enormous differences.

the cell is the basic unit of life, whatever life is, and it is amazing what just one cell has the capabilities of doing.  the brain is a highly organized and complex system of cells.  yes, it contains a lot of water.  my toilet contains a lot of water, too.

does that mean that my toilet and water are the same thing???

Difference?

Mind is a sort of field effect, sometimes localized in a point, sometimes not.

Step into the ocean and take a drink.
What are you drinking?
The water?
Or the wave?

No difference. At least as far as general characteristics go.
