A wile back i had some EQ jars an after cooking 3 of them grew maggets UHHH?
What the HELL i said, never in my life would i expect that again HOW THE HELL???
Has any one seen this before an how could this happen< eggs in my brown rice?
For real man maggets after cooking, wish i had taken a pic sorry?....Peace...Lou :tongue:

Gross as this sounds, lots of the foods you eat are covered in insect eggs. Seems your cooking didn't kill them all.

These are possibly the larvae of fungus gnats. Adults are attracted to the smell of growing mycelium and lay their eggs usually on mushrooms. It seems likely that a female gnat found your jars and a way inside to lay eggs in your substrate. The larvae feed on the mycelium.
