PC question imac os10.1

Cant find any thing about resizing (pics)
Have read many books or threads on this subject, can't really understand most?
The Os10 book says nothing at all  about taking a pic say,500KB an shrinking it to
around 100KB so i can upload to shroomery? I have uploaded pics at 128KB ok so far.
i have heard of infanview, a windows program  has anyone had expierence on this???
Do i have to download a program to manipulate pics? Please its killing me????...Lou :grin: :crazy: :confused: :mad:

try graphic converter. a new version of graphic converter was just released. to find mac software, use www.versiontracker.com.

graphic converter will run as a demo, but it costs money to use it without the annoying shareware message. there are other FREE image editors for OS X. just search or browse through versiontracker.com's Mac OS X tab.

Im not a mac person but Iv downloaded Ifranview from CNET on my windows machine and I have to say I liked it but there are definatley better programs out there. Its just a basic univeral viewer, from my experience.

Those links are cool but still don't know what to use for photo (PICS)
And what does shareware mean, free i hope means download for free right?
Does anyone have any links to (pics)softwear, imac users i can't do it on my Pc? :confused: :confused: :mad: i really have to download some program to do these things? shit man i wish i adjusted my camera to take smaller pics back then shit?

If you happen to have a copy of Photoshop the best thing to do for saving images to post here is to: Open the image, change the image size to about 800 pixels wide, 72 dpi. Then click save for web, you can then specify a file size to compress to, usually around 80kb for good quality / size ratio that fits under the size requirements here.
