If I remember correctly(which I might not), the Supreme Court ordered the second recount to stop. I think as recently as last week they were still finding missing ballots. I don't know WTF happened to those ballots but something's just not right in FL. Also, Nixon may have had the "class" to back down, but Gore certainly had the right to demand a recount, and in most elections that close, it's common for a candidate to do so. Anyway, regardless of the counties where the recounts took place, Gore still won the popular vote.

Those votes thrown away were Bush's votes. Same thing happened with Dole and thousands of mail-in ballots from oversea military were thrown out.

I know what you're saying, but for the sake of argument and future safety of the United States, Saddam does have a lot of weapons/chemicals that are unaccounted for. And I don't want that guy to get nuclear capability and use it one day against somebody like Israel if everyone just decides to leave him alone.
I realize the USA isn't perfect with WOMD and chemicals either. I mean Jeebus, what we're doing in the name of the War On (Some) Drugs to our own citizens is bad enough, but then I read what were doing in Columbia (spraying glyphosphate) and I just feel sick myself.
But that doesn't mean as a superpower we have no authority to squash a threat when we see one. Again, I'm not pro-war with Iraq neccessarily, even though I probably sound like I am here. I just see valid reasons coming from both sides though.

I doubt all of them were Bush's votes. Besides, if they were just discovered last week, I doubt they had time to count them, and even if they did, why would they bother?

539,947 more people voted for Gore.
That was more than the difference in the Kennedy/Nixon election, right?

Well Gore had 2 recounts and he lost on two recounts. Perhaps you don't remember when Pres Kennedy was running against Nixon there was suspicious voting going on in Chicago, but Nixon had enough class to accept that's how it goes and didn't ask for a recount.
Do you even know how our system work? Gore did have the majority of the total votes, but did not have the majority of states.

We all know these vehicles have been around for a long time, but you will thank Bush for putting them into circulation. Car manufacturers will now take the step they refused too in the past.
Oh man, Im sorry but that is too funny. BUSH putting them into circulation?!?! I could almost assure you that he tried as hard as he could to stop them going into circulation...Why? Because he wants oil to be used, because that is how he gets all his $$.
Bush is against the environment, maybe because he is big business, but, he still is against it. He does not care. He just cares about today, and does not care about future generations of the Earth.
On New Year's Eve the Bush administration announced the most aggressive attack that the Clean Air Act has faced in its entire 30-year history. The Environmental Protection Agency has weakened important air pollution regulations and is moving forward to enact other changes that would make it easier for older power plants, factories and oil refineries to pollute more. The EPA's proposal would rewrite a key provision of the Clean Air Act (called "new source review") to no longer require more than 17,000 of the country's largest polluting facilities (including chemical plants, incinerators, iron and steel foundries, paper mills and cement plants) to install modern pollution controls when they upgrade or modify their equipment and significantly increase their pollution.
On January 15th the Bush administration announced it was removing long-standing Clean Water Act protections for at least 20 percent of our nation's waters currently covered by this landmark environmental law. The waters that would be affected immediately by the administration's actions include wetlands and other small water bodies that are critical to the U.S. economy as well as to our environment because they replenish groundwater supplies, filter drinking water sources, absorb floodwaters, and provide essential wildlife habitat.
