Got Robbed Last Night

About 3 am last night three rather large black guys with 2 shotguns and a baseball bat came in and robbed me. I was expecting company and had just finished walking my dogs so I hadn't locked the door yet and they just walked right in and stuck a shotgun in my face. I'm 6'1 and weigh about 200ish and two of these guys towered over me not that it really mattered. Could have been midgets.
I put my hands behind my neck and averted my eyes, as they were not wearing masks so I didn't want to be able to ID them or make them think I could. They demanded my shrooms and I calmly and politely told them how much I had and where it was located.
My roommate was here and sketched out and was not calm, I'm surprised they didn't hurt him. Once they had my stash they demanded money and jewelry. I own a $5 necklace and had $15 cash on me. They choose not to take my cash.
As soon as they were not looking my roommate went into a dark room and jumped out a 2nd story window and ran off in the woods. His dog jumped out after him, loyal little shit.
At this point one of them who was acting pretty nervous and twitchy punched me in the face. Managed to bust my lip, bust the skin under my eye, give me a black eye, bust my eye brow up good and get me a hell of a lump right in the middle of my forehead in a single quick hit. Dude had a big fist :-(
After that the one who appeared to be in charge, very calm and as assertive apologized for about the other guy hitting me in the face and reached into the bag of dried shrooms and tossed me a big handful before leaving.
I thought for sure when they did not have masks I was probably going to die after they got what they wanted. First time in my life I've starred down the barrel of a gun like that. A really long, simple, old looking style with a rather large barrel.
Looked something like this, but maybe 20 or 30 years old.
It was all over in less then 2 minutes but it felt like an hour. I'm still pretty much in shock and I don't think the enormity of this has really hit me yet.
To make things worse, I found out last night that my fiancee of 8 years has been cheating on me for 3 months. I was sitting there feeling sorry about that and thinking it was amazing how fast one's life can change directions and a few minutes later this happened. Might be one of the worst nights of my life.
In the grand scheme of things it could have been far, far worse. In the end all I have is a few scratches on my face, I've done far worse to myself on accident while drinking.
I've never worried about security where I live. It's a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with very little traffic. Now I'm paranoid as fuck. Drawing up plans for a wireless security system, double secured windows, motion activated flood lights, heavy duty chain and bolt for the main door, couple signs for security system + window stickers and maybe even a security camera
Basically make it impossible for quick and easy entry while also providing lots of light and a shit load of noise if anything is disturbed. I feel the chances of them coming back is pretty high.
In the time it took to write this my roommate has already packed his shit and left, though he was planning on moving out soon anyway.
So not really sure why I'm even posting it. Helping to clear my thoughts I guess. Has anybody else had something like this happen? Any suggestions or ideas?
I don't have any grows going currently. Best I can figure is my now former guy ran his mouth around the wrong people. I made it very very clear to him he was not to tell ANYBODY who I was or where he got his supply from and to just say he had a supplier in nearby state.

Damn man. That sucks. Why post it anonymously, though? I'm glad thay didn't do anything except rough you up a little. It could have gone way worse. Your roommate is a major pussy for leaving you. Fuck that dude.

cameras arent even that expensive now days man. look around craigslist for the wired ones and get an older computer that can support a multi-video card.
you can probably rig up 4-5 cameras to a computer for maybe 400.. i mean thats not cheap cheap but its cheaper than it used to be..
maybe invest in a large headed pit pull too.. those things can tear shit up
shit get 2 or 3 no one will ever think to fuck with you..

I didn't want this to be associated with my account. I'm a pretty frequent poster here.

Moving isn't really an option. I think my best bet is to make this place a very unappealing target in the future. Already got my preliminary defenses in place and the rest will be finished by tuesday.
I'm not going to grow anything any time soon as well and keep this place clean. One thing I think I need to worry about is one of those cock suckers getting busted for something unrelated and narcing on me in the future.
Plus I'm going to keep this place locked up tight with lights, cameras and security alarms out the wazoo.

Here is what ZooOfTheMoon reccomended to me for home security, it looks fucking SECURE:
Hinge Pins, a Bolt Buddy, a Mul-T-Lock deadbolt door, and window film. This will make your door impervious to a police battering ram, and your windows can withstand a fucking baseball bat and not even flinch.
Get an alarm system and put the stickers on your door & windows, you should be fine. If you'd like to use a camera, make sure you put it in plain sight, BEHIND on of your windows, and have it pointing at your door, or at least the area leading up to your door.
You'll have your own little fortress of solitude, the door and window film stuff will add up to about $700.00, and the alarm system/ camera system will vary depending on how hard-core you want to go.

Here's what I got so far.
http://www.amazon.com/51107-Smart-Wireless-Alarm-System/dp/B00032AVN6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1274685955&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/U-S-Patrol-JB5322-Alarm-Security/dp/B001I0E20A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1274686016&sr=8-2
Got the main entrance wired up with 2 alarms. Already had a dead bolt but I replaced some of the hardware to make it more secure. It's set 4 inches back into the solid wood frame + 6 inch screws.
Door is solid oak with no windows or panels. Added a security chain and attached it to the ceiling floor joists with 2" deck screws, tossed the little shit screws that came with the kit.
Installing a flood light as soon as it gets here. 300-watt two-light halogen 240-degree motion-activated security floodlight /w 70 foot detection range.
Will add camera's later once I can afford it.
For home defense I have an old garden machete that I spent an hour sharpening with a grinder plus a few club like items made out of cured ironwood (blue beech) I harvested a few years ago and was going to make some walking sticks or something. They light, but incredibly solid and hard. Carved handles into them so they're easy to hold onto.
Did I mention amazon.com is awesome? :/

Hey man, The guy who told you to move - he's right. I had a friend a few years back have his house robbed - he didn't move and it happened twice or 3 times more before he realized he had to get out of there. ASAP.
Even if you stop growing, what about everything else of value in your house?
And your own peace of mind and safety - you need to consider moving as quickly as you realistically can - when your lease is up, whenever, ASAP - you said yourself the likelihood of them coming back is pretty high.
If you've got a nicely secured place, it is no big deal to wait until you leave or come home and then force you to open at gunpoint again...
Sending you good vibes either way, sounds like a terrible week

Just an update. Installing this system next week. Every single window or door will have sensors + glass break sensors installed and I'm going to go ahead and install those security flood lights on every end of the house for complete coverage.
After that I'll be installing camera's and some other devices once that's done.

If this was just a rental or something I would have been gone. I have to clean up the mess I made. Obviously I will never grow here again but I have to think about future occupants which will most likely be family.
I do intend to move, but not until I have all this security installed so the house is safe/secure as it reasonably can be.
On a site note, I did found out who orchestrated this whole fiasco, a local thug who apparently makes a habit of this sort of thing. Turns out it wasn't even my 'guy' but my window jumping now ex-roommate who ran his mouth and they were after him, not me.
He told people he had shrooms for sale and they found out here he lived (with me). It's a life lesson for me. Don't tell anybody, even people you trust will do retard shit and it will come back on you. If you do decide to sell, keep it away from where you live. Don't shit where you eat.
On a side note, from what I hear about this guy is that he has a no violence policy and unloaded weapons. All about intimidation and show. I did find it fucking weird that he apologized sincerely to me after his associate busted up my eye. Was a whole lot of WTF at the moment.
I'm still a bit traumatized. Can't sleep at night and little noises make me jump but I'm not going to let this turn me into a paranoid nut either.

Burn his house down.
If this is his business there will be 1000 suspects, and you will never get caught.
Just an idea

I had an old wise man tell me this...a heavy pcp laced sak is always a good thing to give to someone robbing you...

Not really sure what, if anything, I want to do on the revenge route. For one I'd have to be absolutely 110% sure it was the right person before I took any action. I'd feel like shit if I burned the wrong house down :-(
I have an old contact that might be able to find out who did what but things like this are always iffy.
In the mean time I'm installing my new security system and I finally decided to buy a weapon for home defense. Been checking my local laws to see how all that works. Turns out all I need to do is pass a background check, which I will.
Decided on a 22 rifle, semi auto with a large capacity clip. Local law says 20 round capacity is as high as I'm allowed, as anything higher = assault rifle.
figure a little scope + laser pointer will do the trick. Needs to look scary but also do the job. Might as well do some small game hunting with it too.
