Hey guys first time poster, long time fan... I have a horse ranch here in South Florida. I just got back in from hunting the yard. I yielded about 20 caps and of that about 5 of any real size... of course for scientific research...I have about 5 acres and 2 horses. There are more I need to go back for in a few days if the rain keeps up they were two immature but I feel that I should be getting more than 20 caps. I currently have Mostly Cubenis and a few Copelandia/Tropicalis but due to there slow growth rate die before they can be picked. This heat is a killer. Is there anything I can do to get more? I shovel the manure in all the shady areas of the yard and thats where they grow. My real question is can I add anything to the horse feed to make more grow? Im not on city water I use well water would using my daily allow more growth? Now I do always practice flick and pick or is that just a myth? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! time to go on a trip.

"For scientific research" "now time to go on a trip"
anyway, there isn't much you can do really. i guess there is nothing really...except to give them water when its not raining for weeks

I don't think adding anything to your horse feed is going to encourage growth. Since you're picking wild mushrooms the only thing you can do is let nature do it's thing.
And yes flick and pick is the best thing you can do. Of course this only works if the veils have broken. If you don't flick then eventually the concentration of the spores around your area will diminish, or so it has been said.

You can take prints before you eat them! Mix as many spores as you want into water, load them into a super soaker then go poo hunting!

I have never tried to make a print or grow them indoor.. I should research that. Are they more potent when grown indoor.

hmm...well thats a complicated question
when you get in to isolating strains isos etc the answer is yes because you can pick out the ones you like, clone them, and keep a very close watch on the environment grown in
but finding them outdoors and just having that experience...there is nothing like it
