humidity and computer fan question

I have a problem which I want to hear your opinions about:
I just finished building my grow chamber. It is a box of 60 cm x 26 cm x 50 cm.
I installed a computer fan at the side and a (warm) mist humidifier at the front.
I tested this setup a several times now and at first I was very happy with it:
Although the mist is warm, the temperature didn't rise very much at all and the humidity rised above 95%.
But the thing I was wondering about was: Even when I turned out the humidifier and just let the computer fan run, the humidity didn't get lower.
I think I got the problem now: I made a hole for the old air to go out on the other side, but I put a mask (what doctors use) on it, so that no contams can get in.
What I think is: No contams can get in but the humidity also can't escape through the very little holes of the mask.
Is that right or could there be another reason that the humidity doesn't get down?

And my second question is:
I don't think my computer fan is strong enough.
Computer fans always have an information how many air they can pull (in cubic meters m3).
Is there a rule how many m3 my fan should be able to pull out relative to my grow chamber?

I'd putt them on a timer and start with 5-8mins a hour on
With a fish pump i'm using 15 on 15 off 15on 30 off
This repeats over and over holds fruiting chambers at around 75-88 % humidity
I'd prefer it to be around 75% but this seems to be working pretty good

No, I don't care about the air-flow right now. If you look at my second question you recognize I don't know if my air-flow is enough but i think this will work with my current computer fan.
The Problem is that I don't want a humidity of 95%+ (all the time). I can't come to an humidity of 80% or so, this is my prob...

I already thought of this, too. But if my thoughts are true, that the humidity can't get through the little holes of the filter, my prob wouldn't get better, would it?

It doesn't work opposed to a cold mist humidifier I think. Its just that I always read, that you should get a cool mist humidifier.
At first, before I tried my "warm" mist humidifier, I thought that the temperature would rise a lot if I turn it on, so that I couldn't control the temperature seperately from the humidity, but that didn't do. Thats what I wanted to say...

Yes, I put a filter over the fan and a filter over the hole for the old air to escape.
So I don't think there is a possibility for contams to get into my box.
Additionaly I have the air flow, which pushs the old air out...

I'm not on this stage of experimenting right now, if you understand. At first I just turned it on for lets say 3-5 minutes (I don't really remember) and then I recognized my problem that I can't get the humidity get to 80%. Just 60% without the humidifier or 95%+ with it...

oh yeah I have 4 holes n my tanks there about 3/8
U can wet your finger and feel the pump blowing air out them.

I think you really need a timer and to just sit down and tinker.
Theres no right way to pull this off other than playing with it.
Everyone has something special they come up with so theres no real answer.

I'm also working on a negative pressure system but i'm still a good ways from done on it.

EDIT: Alot of people also put there fans blowing down from the top.

Hmm I really dont recommend a warm mist humidifier. Warm, stagnant water (ie, inside the humidifier when its off) is just asking for contams.

I saw a guy use a small table top fan once. It looked like the average box fan for 10 bucks at the dollar store but alot smaller.
Maybe 9x9 inches or 11x11 anyway u get the point (small)

They mounted it on the inside of the tank.

Then took some sliding showed door trim.(it come in a few different sizes its shaped like a U)

They attached the shower door trim to the top of the box making a area that a flat filter could slide in and be held down by the U's



Just make sure you cut it so that all the open sides of the U of the trip faces inside.
This gives you a track that will lock the filter in place.

If you have the ability to gut it on 45 angles that would be better. It will seal the frame up much better than just butting them together.

*Note this was done way b4 pc fans but I still like this better because the fan is way bigger

This was used on a fruiting chamber and did pretty damn good.
I'd post a pic but the man that had it has sence passed away. Taking with him alot of stuff that i should have payed more attention 2.
