WHY Are Fruits From A Contaminated Substrate Safe To Eat?

I have a sub that has trich on it, but it's my first grow and there are so many pins (and I'm moving out soon) so I don't want to all of my labor to be for nothing.
My question is WHY are fruits from a contaminated sub safe to eat? I've seen a handful of TC's say the fruits are safe, I just want to know why. What's the problem if your sub is infected? Are the spores in the air more harmful to your health rather than what the mushrooms are pulling from the trich? Or do they both (fruits and trich) use the mycellium as a 'home' where one doesn't effect the other?
Any help is appreciated.

It is safe because it isn't harmful. See, trich spores are not dangerous for humans, nor the trich itself. Trichoderma is the parasite of the mushroom mycelium, and it's advised to get rid of the contaminated substrates just because the spores will affect future grows, not because it is harmful in any way. And mushrooms don't "pull" anything from molds. They can only pull some heavy metals from the soil, which can be harmful.

So if it isn't harmful how does it effect future grows, since it isn't bad and the fruits are fine? I'm just trying to get a better understanding.

Because once contaminated, substrait performs worse, and trichoderma quickly engulfs the entire tub or tray. Also spores stick to everything, and it would be almost impossible to produce a healthy spawn jar. Molds thrive in stale, moist air, and those conditions are in our fruiting chambers. For outdoor grows molds are not a problem, but inside they will suffocate the mycelium very quickly. Mushrooms and molds are competitors for the substrate, and if one thrives, the other will not.

No problem. You could put a paste made of salt and water over the mold so it doesn't sporulate as heavily, but it won't stunt the growth.
