have some grocery agar jars going, 3 Ecuador , 3 PE, the ecuador jars have grown to almost the size of a nickel. yet the PE agar jars are not even doing anything. one of them has a spec of myc started. i used MS for both.

I have a dozen jars including a bag of wbs started on the 15th of may. They seem normal to me, except the ones i started with spores. They are about 1 week behind.

I did two MS injections into WBS/rye quarts (two). I spawned those to horse manure in my usual fashion. Fruits were sparse, and tiny. They still havnt been eaten...some point soon. I just wanted to try some, since I dont believe all the hype about their potency..I cant be sure of myself if I dont actually try them. I may try again someday if they're all that. But I'd rather just grow pan cyans if I want something stronger..they worked out better. I did try harder though

They seem to colonize fine but take a year and a half to pin!

I think they are slow as ferk, i inoculated 3 quart jars, with pe.like 2 weeks ago, and most of the jars are like 30% done.

Always expect at least an extra week to pin when working with PE. Sometimes two weeks. The sub can start looking pretty gnarly before the fruits actually start coming in.

My PE colonizes at the normal rate The fruiting stage is the step I noticed that took longer

yea lol, that's the only reason i wanted them so bad. cuz they are so different looking and potency is supposed to be good, i have a sandose domesticate pan print not used yet, that will be next.
it's weird man, my friends were saying these ones they found were like way more potent than burma's or ecuadors , they kinda looked like PE. Really in actuallity i don't beleive them cuz i tried it and didn't see much of a difference. i think ppl like to make up stories based on information they are given. ecuadors can be very potent sometimes. they are nice strain, i recommend them to anyone especially beginners. they are easy. and start to pin in like 5-11 days normally

i think the spores take longer to germinate also, could this be because it is already an isolated strain and it may be lacking some of the DNA or certain genetics mabe. i have no idea, it's just a guess, would that mabe be why it takes longer for a PE spore to germinate.

Lack of spore production.

production wouldn't affect the amount of time it takes to germinate. and plus the syringe had a lot of spores in it, i could see some of them it was that good.

PE germination speed for me was exactly normal (one week), growth rate so far seems pretty decent (fully colonized jar ready for G2G tomorrow), I'll be finding out pretty soon about the rest...
Peace -PS

PE is a novelty strain, pure and simple. Nobody grows it for quantity, for robustness, for total fruits, or even for total weight. They usually grow it because it looks cool.
Takes forever to grow, to fruit, etc. Even then it's a coin toss whether or not you'll get a shitload of mutants or some nice fruits. Either way, it's just a cool strain, no real benefits to growing it. There are many more strains that are far superior in every way.

In my experiences with PE it's very intolerant of poor conditions. Most other strains (and I don't mean commercial strains) are more tolerant to poor conditions.
The best results I had involved tons of fresh air, to the point where the top layer had significant drying even with 4-5 mistings per day.

I had better results with APE in an automatic shotgun.

I've had some excellent feedback from both the PE and the APE. Comments along the lines of "best trip I've had since woodstock" from some old hippies :-D

I have about 6 now that I just put in a 50/50 cast mix.. used on WBS. Jars took about the same to fully go .. Pins to take a little more to pop maybe an extra week or so.
