Sclerotia Substrates.

Horse poo, hay, coir, and verm all seem like possible options (just like cubes)
but has anyone had experience with Coir as opposed to Manure or Hay?
i would imagine horse poo + hay is the best basic mix, but I am going to do some experimenting (three tubs. i'm thinking one mainly hay, one mainly horse poo, and maaybe a coir-based sub)
what have you guys read or experienced?

your not eating poo its just the nutrients. nor is that bad smelling well not as bad as you think. lots of plants are grown from manure.

i like the smell of cooked manure - it's earthy.
but in my opinion, hay and manure are about the same thing. thats why i said only slightly better than eating manure

The "philosophers stones' is a nickname for the sclerotia produced by certain mushrooms. It is pretty potent, and pretty easy to disguise. it looks nothing like the fruit. Go. use the search function.

IMO manure is needed for most stone producers, maybe not needed to produce a fruit or two but to get a good flush. I have never gotten the same results with CCV. Under the right conditions Jalisco fruits well take a look at bw86(?) other stone producers dont fruit as well, even though up until a few weeks ago I thought alt7 was the best at fruiting and stones but Jalisco fruits much better. I still eat manure stones! there huge.
