    #12602423 - 05/21/10 04:26 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

ok i have built a shotgun terrarium for my cakes but 1 cake has out grown all the others and will be rdy in a few days is there an easy way to just make a fruiting chamber for 1 so i dont have to fill up my decent sized shotgun terrarium the other cakes probably wont be rdy for another couple weeks and id like to avoid using the big one.

You should just use your terrarium.

It takes a very long time to translate the information on this forum into a system that works for you, but it sounds like you're making the biggest error. WAIT. BE PATIENT. DON'T RUSH ANYTHING, EVER.

If you wanna play with your first cake I'm not going to stop you, set up your terrarium, at least it will be ready for the rest.

Search for soda bottle teks.  You can modify a 2L plastic Coke bottle to make a nice little FC for one cake.

On the other hand, your eager-beaver cake would probably benefit from just being left in the jar until the others are ready - unless you're starting to see pins, in which case you should probably go ahead and birth it.

[ EDIT: If you leave it in the jar you could put it in the fridge to slow it down until the others catch up ]
