Whats a good use for spent cakes?
    #12600505 - 05/20/10 07:55 PM (14 years, 7 months ago)

What do you do with your spent cakes? i get 4-5 flushes from a cake then its spent. How to dispose of it? I live in an apt in the city so i cant do outdoors. and they sort the trash here for recyclables, so i cant throw them out. I usually end up driving down a back road in the middle of nowhere tossing them out the window, Johnny Myco Seed style tho i used to blend them to the consistency of baby poo at put them in diapers, then throw them out. I'm just curious as to what others do with them that may be useful or easier that i could do.

Edit-I'm headed out rite now so i be back later to read all the replies.

Any parks or wooded areas near your home?

If there are you could try an outdoor grow there.I plan on trying an outdoor grow at a local park I go bass fishing at from time to time, that way when out fishing and no fishies bite,I can still have a good time...or my friends can go pick!

Grind them up into your house plants.  They'll help digest organic matter in the potting soil and make it available to the plant's roots.

Cut them into tiny pieces and steep it in juice!
Get a bowl.
Fill 1/2 with juice.
Let chunks sit in juice for 1hr.
Use cheesecloth or something like it, put the chunks in the center, twist the cloth around it and squeeze all the juice out. Do this 3 or 4 times (not the hour wait, just get it juicy again and squeeze.) and enjoy!:crazy2:
Be careful with amounts, there is not a reliable way to dose this.
One cup may blitz you, or it may barely buzz. It tends to be faster than a normal trip too, so you will know either way in about an hour.

Typical 1/2 pint brf I am guessing? One of those steeped into 60/40 Oj/water is the way I go, and it has always been good.
Asskicking, maybe twice.
I have heard of various alcoholic concoctions as well, but I have no personal exp making those just yet. I can however vouch for their potency.:mushroom2:

I used to do this with my cakes.. but I couldn't get over the taste, its not so great in my opinion... I haven't tried mixing it with anything else though... I think I heard about someone mixing koolaid with the concoction.
