I'm kinda wondering about the AST additive it has, but it sounds like it's some harmless chemical casing for the gypsum pellets so they don't break up easily and create dust. Not sure though...only one way to find out.

"Small uniform prill size dissolves quickly and provides consistent coverage"
PRILL SIZE.......?
From the description, I gather its pellets, rather than powder. You may have to grind it up, if its pellets.
I use this........

One way to deal with pelletized gypsum is to funnel some into an empty gallon milk jug and then add hot water and shake it to dissolve. If you have an idea of the ratio of gypsum/water then you can add it directly to your substrate pre pasteurization or whatever you need to do with it. Otherwise it tends to sink to the bottom and turn into a goo without mixing in very well. You can store it this way too. It will settle out and you'll have to re-shake it before each use but imho this is the best way to ensure even distribution throughout the substrate.

the only non nutritional additive listed on the bag are active ingredients 96.5%gypsum 1.0% Anionic Polyacrylamide Copolymer (emulsion) 0.5% Anionic Polyacrylamide Copolymer (soild) inert ingredients 2% lignosulfonates
which according to wiki are all used to help with water flow

You don't have to buy gypsum... just find a scrap of gypsum board (aka sheetrock), or buy some, and grind it up.

The little pellets work just fine. They dissolve EASY in warm water either before or after mixing with whatever. I mix them in dry now though I dissolved them in warm water the first few times. When you add water to your coir or manure or whatever they'll dissolve and powder easily. They are little pellets.

Don't count on it if you get the myco bug. I buy gypsum by the pallet load, 46 fifty-pound bags per pallet.
Pelletized gypsum is great, and what I use. It easily falls apart when mixed into the moist substrate. RR

I use a baking sifter to powder mine in to the sub. Works super dandy.
RR how often do you get a pallet?
