the jars were just innoculated last nite.. but this morning in noticed some white stuff around the spores. is this the mycelia???that fastt???

Nah it's prob just cobweb.....

I have had spores germinate inside a syringe. They tore through the jars pretty fast but I did not check on them after 24hrs. Was about 30% in three days though. (Palenque)

Florida + strain...... the spores were clumped up like crazy in the syringe... i thought they mite be trying to mater or something.... i got them in the mail last the saturday before last,,, i have no clue how old they r...

Did you keep them at room temp?
Maybe the spores germinated and became mycelium.
Mycelium will tear through substrate fast!
It's all good!
Faster is better the way I see it.

Actually it was a syring I made up from a print. I was letting it sit for a day or two to rehydrate. The second or third day (not sure) I got it out to give it a shake and saw my babies growin like weeds. It was the most interesting microscope slide I have ever made.

yeah!!! i did some white stuff around the spores.... i thought it mite have been contam'd but then again thought it mite have been bisidospores......i hope they were bisidospores...lol..... white stuff around then spores is good while still in the syringe is good
?/???

Leaving them at room temp will cause the spores to germinate.
It's not a bad thing if you use them right away.
But you should store them in a frig or a cool place if you aren't going to be using them right away.

LOL... i forgot to mention.. i did pump an ass of spores into the jars.... 3 1/2 pint jars with one syringe....oops... is that alot???

Room temp is fine, as long as it's not over 100F. If you want to check your spores for viability, do a search for the honey water tek. (also nice for turning your last CC of spore solution into 10 or more syringes).
