Pins/Shroom with cakes not fully colonized (pics)

This is my first grow and also first post after lurking for quite a while, so go easy on me!
I have 12 jars colonizing, pint sized, brf/verm with dry verm layer, tape on the holes. Six of the jars are Golden Teachers, six of them are B+.
They've been going along just fine, i don't see any coloration besides white and they look healthy to my unexperienced self. It's been a bit over a month since they were started, but i figured they were moving slow due to the jar's being larger. My plan is to cut the cakes in half once they're ready, and have 24 cakes.
Now the problem- Here is how colonized my jars are:

I'm already getting some pinning:

I think I may have too much light exposure since it seems to be growing on the sides of the jar as well as the brf/verm, and the ones that have that problem are the ones that are pinning early.
And then there's this big guy who decided to come straight through the dry verm layer:

It's solid and looks healthy, it's just that it's jar has a long way to go until it's fully colonized. It would probably be about three inches long if it was laid out straight, and the head on it is the size of a pinky nail.
All of the jars smell fine, there's no off colors, nothing seems to be wrong except for the growing on the glass. So what should I do about these early bloomers? I'm not overly concerned about the smaller pins unless there's a chance they could rot and ruin my cake, But this big shroom on top is my main concern. It's curling over from hitting the top of the lid but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything. Do I go ahead and pick it off? And if so can i eat it? I can't just throw out the first shroom I ever grew.
If this keeps happening (none of my cakes are fully colonized, but only three have pins/shroom at the moment) should i birth the cakes before they're solid enough? I was going to dunk and roll but if they're still loose then I'm not sure what to do about them.
Sorry for the long first post, I was just amazed when i saw that shroom in my jar this afternoon and I really don't want to mess up my first grow. Thanks for any info!

Birth them, wash away uncolonized part, then dunk and roll and pretend everything is normal. Is my advice.
-------------------- You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?

I've also got about a dozen pint jars colonizing and I'm concerned I will have a similar problem. I'll be interested to see what you do to tackle the problem.

I'm going to It was nothing but impatience and frustration with locating supplies that led me to get these big ones. I'm regretting it now but there's not much I can do until next time.

So that would work then? I was worried they would fall apart if they weren't solid enough. I should probably take one out and see how it feels then go from there.
