Drying, more likely. Unless you blot pretty hard.

havent misted at all. loosened the polyfill, and i have a box fan blowing right at it. still some water on the sub. there was a noticeable amount of water in the bottom of my tub, condensation i assume. and now its dripping on my myc. so should i loosen the polyfill more?

alright, ill do that. ive been having contam issues, so i figured id want any air flow passing through the polyfill. honestly, ive considered going back to cakes, but that would make me a bitch, and we all know when theres pride involved, thats just fuckin unacceptable. thank you for your help.

Have a fan blowing in the room the tub is in. Just make sure its not directly pointing at the tub

Loosen the polyfill when you're ready to induce fruiting. Dabbing isn't a bad thing. Sometimes the myc under the puddle can discolor a bit. Nothing to really worry about.
Next time use a plastic liner.

i used a liner. the excess moisture is between the liner and the tub. and ive fanned the hell out of it twice today. and why dont i want the fan pointing at the tub? obviously drying out isnt the issue.

A lot of that could be dripping off from your tubs lid. Whenever I fan I make sure to shake all the water off the lid until it cant drip anymore. By the next time I fan there is already more that will drip off. That I imagine is probably what is giving you pools of water.

oooh. this is normal. no problem. I find the myc will usually figure out a way to drink out of this reservoir as well.
i also use this moisture as a warning flag for dryness. If you see no moisture there at all, you need to mist.

i figured the excess water would be used at some point. i was just concerned w/ the puddles. i was hesitant til now to manually fan my tub. but maybe that was my problem. ive been fanning regularly now. sometimes its the simplest thing that fixes things huh?
