so someone left me a link for the "neglect tek". pretty much take used up substrate, put in a garbage bag in a bucket, add water, loosely tie it shut. simple enough. so my monotub contamed after the first flush, i did the in the bag in the bucket thing. question is, if and when i get fruits, is it safe to consume since the sub is contaminated? thanks guys.

As long as they'res not mold/shit growing on the mushroom itself you're good to go.

Make sure you get rid of the contaminated substrate ASAP, unless you never plan on growing again. Those spores will make it difficult for future grows if you let it sit around and shit spores everywhere.

Get it out of there, too. Picture a volcano shooting up ash and soot, except it's spores and it's in your house/garage :/
They'll get all over you - thousands/millions and then transfer from you to anything you walk by or touch.

Mold or bacteria? You shouldn't leave it inside where you are moving cause you will be the one who moves the spores to critical places.

Toss it. Once it's got mold on it's time to go.
