[Pics] Liquid culture from agar, need suggestions...

Hi, one week ago I transferred several pieces of colonized agar to a liquid medium (water + 4% honey), it's my first attempt to create a liquid culture.
I don't know if I should let the mycelium grow into the liquid's surface, or if I should use my magnetic stirrer to mix it with the liquid.
Also, how can I know when the liquid culture is ready to be used?
Any suggestion will be very appreciated

Looking good!

That creaming of myc happens sometimes. You should stir it or shake by hand daily to prevent the myc aggregating.

I'll take you suggestion and give it a heavy stirring session :-)
Is there any visual hint to know when the LC is ready to be used? (I don't know, maybe the medium should look cloudy or dense?)

When it comes to lc you can use it when ever you want, but the more mycelium you have the better.

Like the other guy said, the myc is live in this state, and it grows alot faster when inoculated to your substrate of choice. Spores take time to germinate in a substrate, LC is ready to rock when it hits.
