Glad Ovenware for Casing
    #1258303 - 01/29/03 11:16 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

I found some of these at walmart today:

http://www.glad.com/containers.html#ovenware

They come in 2 sizes, and are oven safe, and have a dark container with clear lid, good for casing. I think they're air tight too.

8 X 8: 3 Pans & Lids (56 OZ / 1.65 L)
9 X 12: 2 Pans & Lids (96 OZ / 2.8 L)

I just thought i'd let people on the forum know. This seems like a good product, and they sell 2 for about $3.50. I'll be using them soon, and i'll let you all know how it works out.

Those are nice for using a few cakes and making a small casing.
They aren't that deep though.

I'd suggest using them for sterilizing casing material in the microwave.
They would work great for making 60/40 Verm and Coco Coir.

Nice find!

Does anyone have any good, deep casing containers that they found cheap and easy?? at least 4-5" deep

I really don't want to mess around with cutting up plastic gardening trays.

Thanks!

I should have been more specific though, I am growing in 14gal rubbermaid terrariums with perlite... what are the dimensions and depth on those, if it's not too much work? Want to see how many I can fit
