I hope. 64 quart tub of KSSS WBS spawned to some Sublicious Compost. Sub is only 1 - 2 inches in depth. 10 on 14 off light cycle.
What are all the down falls i'm going to see for having such a small sub depth?

I think they will be really small!
Some of them look as though they will be mature in a day or 2 and they are still so small!

i did one with a real thin sub, but i left the holes completely open and they were right at substrate level. the fruits were surprisingly big for such a small substrate. It was remarkable how much it shrunk just from the first flush.

This has got me thinking about getting a MS syringe of KSSS as well...god I can't decide,I feel like a kid in a candy store when looking at MS spores...do I go with what I've worked with before (Amazon,South American,Cambodian) from ralphsters or do I go with something I have never tried like KSSS or Texas or so many others...decisions decisions,I hate making decisions...
We need a popcorn smiley cuz I am grabbing my chair and a bag of popcorn and watching this thread as I want to see this KSSS monotub when it's done fully fruiting....Good Job man

You think amazon and south american would be the same thing
KSSS and texas are both supposed to be short and dense, give em a try, what have you got to lose?

You know I never did stop to think about that but there was clearly a difference to me.The Amazons were strong, but not the biggest or most dense, the South Americans were of average potency to me but really big fruits.
And this was a good 5+ years back too.
Also the saying is,a cube is a cube is a cube.
What I'm looking for is something that gives pretty even and abundant pin sets for a good overall return, and something that tends to have an average to above average potency as far as cubensis goes, and gives weight.I was looking at Texas (or Texas Goliad) which supposedly does well in all those departments. But the KSSS grows I've been seeing lately are making me want to try that cube.

Nice pinset! Any harvest pictures? I personally like small fruits better than big ones; dries fast, looks cool and easier to eat!

I'm totally going to be watching this one, the shallow sub depth intrigues me. I wonder if less flushes = larger initial flush?

That's been my experience, although a good rehydrating makes it more subtle--I've never experienced the colossal 8 or more flushes that some people talk about. I usually get two or three quality and then it's pretty random--so many variables tho!
