Found a good farm that lets me get all the POO I can harvest... these people are gonna think I got some serious rose gardens.

Is it possible to leeche hpoo too much? I may have mixed some semi fresh stuff in with some really dry stuff and I was just gonna leeche it all manually with a garden hose but I hope I wont flush out too much from the already leeched stuff.

I didn't see any mycelium at the poo-spot. What are you planning to do with your poo? I'm going to take a rematch with pans. Just need some agar work first. Also making some PE tubs.

I have some Amazonian Cubes colonizing some rye right now which I will use as spawn. I would love to do some pans but without a trade raiting it's hard as hell to find some spores

Now Ive been looking for a good "poo spot" for a while now. I have acctully found a few promising locations but to be honest, have been to nervous to go ask them if I can raid the poo field. What do you do?
*knock knock*
"Hello?"
"Hi I was wondering if I can have some of your horse poo?"
"...Um why?"
"its for... Gardening, yeah gardening"
Just wondering how you go about this lol :P

Funny when we get excited about manure. Just bought 31 acres this past month, I was almost more ecstatic when I found out the past owners had horses and the place is covered in manure than I was about the view, the location or the soil quality.

Learn about something that grows well with horse manure, either plants or a fungi. Be prepared to answer questions because usually they love having someone scoop up shit for them but you'll probably engage in some kind of conversation where they will just be curious.

yeah the guy asked me what I was using it for. I said I was starting a garden. He told me they used horse poo and saw dust and it works great. Isnt this combination sometimes used in mushroom cultivation too?

That is PERFECT looking. Dry, no piss/shit smell. High fiber, you cannot get better h/poo.
If it doesn't smell like urine (ammonia like smell), no need to leach further.
I run mine through a garden shredder & store in a grain bags, in a shed.
Ready to use any time I want.

Correct me if im wrong but dont most people use sawdust in part to grow shitake's? How is it an anti-fungal if people grow shitake's on it all the time?

For cubensis, yeah.
But how do you think a forest ecosystem survives? Fungi eat trees and plants, plain and simple. Some just do it in different stages of decay.
I use supplemented hardwood sawdust ONLY bags for my shiitake, enoki, and lions mane, its the best!

There was some sawdust at the piles where I picked from but I picked by hand and I took only poo (as you can see in the pic I posted in this topic). Long time ago I just shoveled all to my wheelbarrow and it really didn't do very good.

Just wondering how you go about this lol :P
All I did was go on craigslist and type in "free horse manurer" Then I emailed and called those people asking if it would be possible to collect dry hpoo from the pasture. I called about 3 people and mailed one lady. The lady I emailed was like.. "Uh you are welcome to roam the feilds if you want." I think she though I had some sort of fetish about dry poop or something but as long as she let me do it I wasn't gonna pass it up.

If she ever asks you should stick to that story. Tells her you found a hooker on craigslist willing to give you a rub down with it. You might save some one else from being questioned.

A lot of farmer's kids will tell you horse manure is one of the best fertilizers/soils so stick to some kind of plant.
