to be safe I've had it told to me to only take a finger- (lick your finger and dip it in the seeds).. It's best to let them dry (and they dont have as much bad taste).
Otherwise we would usually do a spoonfull of seeds (teaspoon), up to 3 spoons, or just do a whole pod/two (small-medium pod).
though, I would be willing to try it again in a more controlled (and wiser) state, and really investigate the feeling and stay as conscious as possible (i'd usually pass out, especially if I smoked weed with it) but most of the trips had very little enjoyment in them.. It was just cool in retrospect to remember hallucinating such realistic things, that were in no way real. At the time though, believing in your hallucinations is not only risky and dangerous, but extremely frustrating most of the time.. Having to try and interact with them, and suddenly realizing it's not real.. Or having a fright, that feels so real, then suddenly doing something completely different, like snooping around in the neighbors car, and not even know what you're supposed to find.. Or having a 10minute conversation with friends, then suddenly realizing they arent there.. Or smoking a bong that keeps falling to the ground, but you cant find the broken pieces when you look for it.. or trying to change the channel on the TV and never having it work, dropping the remote and it dispearing.. While eating chips, that suddenly vanish the next time you try to grab one.. or HAh! the best one so far, thinking some old guy threw your pc modem into the camp fire, and reaching into it to grab it, ending up pulling out a burning log, burning your hand, and suddenly forgetting about it..
oh and did I mention feeling like you constantly have a urine infection, have to pee, but completly unable to.. as it slowly drips out in your pants..

but hey!.. if one could find out what kinds of herbs were used to help with the negative effects in historical Datura used rituals, and implementing them, it would probably make for a far better trip.. and Possibly delving into some deep mysticism..

try not eating seeds and using wrightii ppl are way to uneducated on the different types of datura they are totally different species and have rather different effects. i first discovered it at a church and spread it to this guy that loved datura any who.
wrightii lacks alot of the negitive effects plus i only suggest fresh leaves + flower seeds are bad Mk dont eat the seeds burgmansia too

i've come across datura myself a few times but never even touched it, a friend of mine had some fresh flowers and some seeds as well (bout 300 or so).
I'm kinda mystified by it but i don't think i will be indulging anytime soon.
stick to marijuana,LSD , smokes and booze kids!
and the occasional mushrooms..

So thedudenj what was Datura like for you? I'll try pretty much anything so if it seems like it would be worth it even a little bit I might try it.

if you want visionary effects mix it in ayahuasca it will give it more flavor as for the other use i have for it , is two things i totally fights colds and other sickness and will cure swallow lymph nodes being an anti inflammatory, when taken in those doses its very up lifting and a really nice high as well as your body is floaty its great for mediation with.
also it can be used to make opiates hit harder.
when you chew it only chew to get the juice in your mouth and spit it out then helps ensure a slow come on that you can feel it build up in your body and no when to stop chewing more. your body will make the plant stop tasting sweet and start being bitter thats a sign to stop
thats why eating seeds is stupid your not gona have the control over how much is in your body at all

Datura is not bad in ayahuasca, the traditonal brew i drink on occasion has burgmansia flowers in it also

THE COOK
I tried datura for the first and only time back in 02. At the time I was told it was belladonna or angel trumpets and I will throw out there that I did alot of stupid things although this was really up there. My neighbor told me that her brother boiled some and drank it and was using his shoe like a telephone so I figured I'd get down. I did no research on it at all like a moron. I waited till night and hit up the plant down the road with a crapload of flowers and I loaded a publix bag with 25 of em. I had my brother and one other friend over and I boiled all of them(just the flowers) in a big pot maybe 2 gallons or something. We each drank a full 9 oz glass and it was downhill from there.
THE EFFECTS
NIGHT ONE
My brother and my friend left right after we felt kind of a body high and then I was alone. All I remember about night one was that I was laying down trying to sleep and I kept talking with my roomate and over and over while I was talking to him, he would start yelling at me to shut the fuck up so he could sleep and I would say Im sorry man I really thought we were talking. :/ Then in the middle of the night I got up to use the bathroom and I saw him sleeping right in front of the bathroom door so I couldnt get in there and for fear of waking him up again I went to piss outside. The thig is that he was never there in the firstplace I was alone the whole night.
MORNING ONE
I will shorten the story by saying that the next day I took a grill cover out of my neighbors dads truck cuz it was my dads(which it obviously wasnt), and later that day I had relived and experience where 8 kids came to my house because I stole some kids weed once(it was extremely vivid),
NIGHT TWO
That evening I walked across the street to my neighbors car where I thought there were 3 kids in there sellin weed and I hopped in the back seat and they were laughing and I said give me the weed and they kept laughing and so i was like let me get out of the car motherfucker and i kept trying the door and it wouldnt open and I was kicking the window and shit and finally I climbed over the middle to the front passenger side door and got out and ran across the street to my house( later to realize there was nobody in the car, my neighbor was watching the whole thing and wondered who I was talking to, and the car was an old bubble top chevy cop car and the back doors dont open from the inside), I then went to take a shower and right when I was about to get in someone from work was sitting atop my sink and I screamed get the fuck out of here and tried to hit him. All i did was knock the shit off the counter. Then while I was in the shower I turned around and he was in there and again I was pretty angry. I went right to bed after that.
MORNING TWO
When i woke up I just kinda layed there and I heard conversation when I looked up there were these deformed looking creature/people(pillows and a tee shirt hanging over a chair). I covered my head in the blanket. I heard my brother say "its okay drew, they are friends". When I peeked out I saw my brother climbing into a pillow and then, one corner at a time, he inched his way down the couch. I spent about two hours talking to them and then my real roomate finally came home and helped me come to my senses a bit. Shortly after he arrived my neighbor(whos car i was in)s cousin shows up wanting to beat my ass for being in her car last night. My roomie explained that I was all fucked up and when the kid said that it wasnt good enough my roomate got all crazy and threatened him with a big ass kitchen knife. The effects finally wore off by the next morning mostly.
THE REGRET
All in all I love tripping on shrooms and acid but this was the worst experience Ive ever had on any drug and I would rather vomit 5 times on some bad acid then relive bad experiences. I feel lucky I diddnt die. After a little research 25 bells seems like it could have easily killed us. At the time I had a job a ricksaw rider at the casino and for the next week I would all of a sudden think that there was someone on my bike and I would turn around and nobody was on there( major brain damage) TAKE IT FROM ME DONT DO IT!! JUST EAT A HALF OZ OF SHROOMS AND THREE HITS OF ACID FOR AN INSANE WILD TRIP!
