Wow...Things Have Really Changed for the Better!!!
    #1257512 - 01/29/03 06:20 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys...haven't been around for about a year...The website has undergone some great changes!!! Congratulations...You should be proud...I remember all the bickering that was going on the last time I was here...Looks like you've found some solutions!!! BRAVO!!!

That said:

I know this is a rookie question, but I haven't grown in awhile...I did search, but was really hoping for some info exchange on the longevity of colonized jars...My friend had some beautiful jars fully colonized...but like a dumbass, he left them sitting as is for about 2 months...the cakes shriveled to about half heir original size, but the mycellium looks fairly healthy...some yellow tinge, but relatively heathy...Not sure how they'll be inside though...I thought they might pin in the jar if they were ok......Think they're worth casing...I'd hate to have him case rotted cakes...

My father started me on this hobby over 30 years ago...I ask  beginner's questions whenever they occur to me...Usually to stir the pot and get people's thoughts...When I post a REPLY...IT SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED AS GOSPEL TRUTH...It's just what I THINK...

PEACE ALL!!!
