Psilocybe Subaeruginosa Problem
    #12570821 - 05/16/10 12:47 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Firstly I'll say my small problem has actually stemmed a brilliant piece of fortune.  I found a few patches of Subs growing in my garden.
My concern is the majority are pins and some don't seem to be doing so well.  It was raining consistently but it has stopped for the last two days.
I'm thinking I should water themin the evening but just wanted confirmation that I'm doing the right thing.

These are the ones I'm concerned with.

These look good to me.

This is one of about four matures.

Like the man said, watering is fine.  I would recommend a spray hose set on misty mode or thereabouts.

How are they positioned to the sun in relation to the others?  The Autumn sun is still hot at this time of the year, perhaps the patch is drying out?

Considering your patch is already established, you can easily maintain it by topping it up with a new layer of woodchips, just once a year in spring.

Other than that they look good.  Seems like there's a few slugs getting to them too. :smirk:

I think then I'll just water them every night.  I've got a watering can that has super small holes in it.  They're so small that with most plants it's annoying so I bought another with bigger holes.  It's perfect for this though.

Do you think there is anyway of keeping the slugs away.  We do get a few here.  They wreck a lot of plants the little fucks.:grrr:

Actually never mind, there are quite a few ways to deter slugs & snails naturally via a quick google search.  Many thanks for your help!!
