Nice find. I hadn't seen any of Roy's later fights. His career might outlast Bernard Hopkins's after all.
You see they should've held Pacquiao vs Crawford last night and now Pacman has to chase after his belt back.

Manny's done. Fuck chasing a belt back. Pull the curtains on the career. It was a great, amazing ride. Controversial decision or not though he looks...fucking ordinary. I hate seeing Manny Pacquiao look ordinary and he's like a cup of coffee away from 39...it's only going to get worse. He's deteriorating rapidly now and is basically a shell of himself.

My friend said who's Pacquiao fighting? I said some guy I never heard of BUT... that in itself doesn't mean he's no good . I disagree. I think he should forgo the rematch and face Crawford next. Once he gets defeated decisively, then it'll be apparent he's done. But it doesn't matter because neither of us will get our ideal scenario. We're getting a rematch but they'll probably charge us PPV this time, which means I'm still not getting it.

I will say this...the whole ESPN/Top Rank venture got off to a rousing ass start. It drew mega ratings. Most watched boxing fight on cable since 06'. ESPN was treating that shit like it was the damn Superbowl, man. They talked it about it constantly all week long leading up to it, and then had a frigging countdown clock for it. And they used the same level of production that they do for their big college football games, NBA playoff games, and Monday Night NFL games. That was great to see.
In other news -- Pacquiao said he was "set up". When pushed by media to clarify if that had something to do with Arum...he basically said "no comment". A simple "no comment" is as telling as a yes.
Manny's deal with Arum ended after that fight. Now, in order to secure a rematch, Manny must...you guessed it, sign back with Bob Arum again.

I know this opinion is old hat but I still refuse to acknowledge Manny or Floyd as great boxers because they both ducked each other in their prime. They fought too late and even if they made so much money and it was so huge and blah blah blah boxing lost one fan at least. Me.

I really hope you're not implying that he should feel better because we're getting Mayweather/McGregor...

So Vasyl Lomachenko got his Ring cover after all. Recall he was the people's choice for fighter of the year last year but were overruled by the mag. Next Sat. July 15th showcases the other titleholders at his 130 lb div. including Mexican Miguel Berchelt. But the hottest matchup at this weight would be against Mayweather protege Gervonta Davis, who features on the Mayweather vs McGregor undercard, and unlike the main event is fast becoming must see TV.
Davis may be short for the 130 lb division and move up to 135 where Ring magazine champion is Jorge Linares but undefeated titleholder Mikey Garcia is poised to grab the spotlight should he beat Adrien Broner at 140 lbs, on July 29. But would he stick around at that weight for Terence Crawford, holder of the WBO and WBC belts and who has a unification bout against Namibian, Julius Indongo, holder of WBA, IBF belts? One bout for all of the jr welterweight belts is on August 19 on ESPN!
I don't think Garcia wants that fight just yet. (This was Broner's handler's mistake imo was not coming back down in wt. after making an exception for Paulie Malignaggi's belt.)

My favorite fighter will always be Manny, but it's pretty clear that he's a shell of himself and at the end. After that it's Lomachenko, man. Dude is absolute must watch TV. He is freaking grade A++ phenomenal.

Chris Eubank Jr routed Arthur Abraham this afternoon and now I'm watching Polish heavyweight Adam Kownacki try to extend his unbeaten streak while waiting for the HBO card to start. edit...Wow 'Sir' Marcus Browne I didn't even know about him - I told you that alone doesn't mean everything. Time for a smoke break.

Yeah Browne looked pretty damn fierce.
How about Robert Guerrero getting dropped FIVE times in under 3 rounds?? Ugh. It's time for him to hang it up. Dude is done.

I did not bold Mayweather vs McGregor since Floyd is an overwhelming favorite vs a professional debut, and Lomachenko (130lbs) also is expected to win easily. Marriaga lost his last bout to Oscar Valdez of 9-22's card. Also at the featherweight division (126lbs) is Santa Cruz, Russell Jr., Selby, Mares, Frampton, and the youngest contender is 2012 Olympian Joseph 'JoJo' Diaz. Then Rigondeaux rules at 122lbs and Lomachenko is currently trying to lure him up two weight classes for a superbout.
And the other thing to note for this weekend is Jermall Charlo making his middleweight debut and hoping to position himself vs the winner of Golovkin vs Alvarez.
7-29 M. Garcia vs Broner Charlo vs Heiland
8-5 Lomachenko vs Marriaga 8-15 Yamanaka vs Nery 8-19 Crawford vs Indongo 8-25 Derevyanchenko vs T Johnson 8-26 Mayweather vs McGregor Davis vs TBA Jack vs TBA Cotto vs Kamegai Vargas vs Rios
9-9 Wangek vs Gonzalez II Estrada vs Cuadras Dirrell vs Benavidez Usyk vs Huck 9-16 Golovkin vs Alvarez Saunders vs Monroe Jr 9-22 Ramirez vs Hart Valdez vs TBA 9-23 Linares vs Campbell Parker vs H Fury
10-7 Santa Cruz vs Mares
November or December Horn vs Pacquiao II
