Spraying some hydrogen peroxide to kill the spores, and cutting off the immediate surrounding area might work but I've never tried it myself.

the green shit is spores, not the actual contamination. so chances are your tub might be infected, i say cut it out, tret the surrounding area with hydrogen peroxide and hope for the best, sometimes contams are unavoidable, but yeah maybe treat your coir/verm with H2O2 before it goes in would be an idea, just to make sure its sterile.

Never attempt to cut out or "treat" a contamination like trich. It is completely counterproductive, as it spreads the spores EVERYWHERE, and compromises any future grows.
Unless you're dealing with cobweb mold, H2O2 is useless.
Bottom line: When you see the first signs of trich, or any contamination for that matter, just toss it. It's not worth risking your grow space and future projects. If you're dead-set on fruiting the thing, take the tub/tray out of your living space at the very least. Leave it outside, in the shade and hope for the best. I'd just throw it away though.

Terrible advice. The only thing you can do, other than tossing it outside under a bush, is to apply a heavy salt paste on the infected areas in order to get through a flush. If the tub goes green before the first flush, it's a goner.
