straw contam while same grain cased dose not why?

Here is the problem I have done 5 straw mono tubs. In 2 batches 2 27 gallon mono's the first time and 3 27 gallon mono's the second they all contamed with trech. The same grain was used to do 3 cased grain trays and no contams.
I know that all the grain spawn was good due to me sniffing every jar and they smelled fine. My 2 cased grains are on flush 4 and no sign of contam or slowing down the other one is off of the current batch of mono tub grain and doing fine as well.
As far as the procedure on the mono tubs go I followed RR's video to a T every thing was to specs and stayed to temp specs. The first batch of tubs were spawned with 5 qt spawn to whatever made 6" in 27 gallon tubs. The second batch was spawned at twice that 10 qt to 6".
Now I am thinking on switching to coir is this good? Or what should I do. All straw was from the same bail I bought at a feed store.

I pasteurized the straw by soaking for 2 hours with soapy water. Then boiling some water and adding lime to it poured that in another tub and stabilized the temp before the straw to 180 deg then I put straw in. The temp stabilized at aprox. 160 deg tote was covered and let sit for just under 90 min temp was about 150 deg. Strained and let cool for 5 hours before spawning with rye.
this is the tek RR's video covers

How did you layer your spawn? Did you leave any kernels exposed?
Personally, I stuck with manure for P. Cubensis and only use straw for oysters.

I did them in about 5 layers and made sure there were no kernels showing.
I am trying to find a bulk sub that is easy for me to procure and contam resistant. The contams are just a mystery to me.

Field aged horse manure is usually free or dirt cheap. I got 200 lb for $15 about a year ago.

How do you prep the manure? And do you add any thing to it?

Make sure it's field aged, leeched, and not from the stables. It needs to be completely dry or your other ingredients won't blend in well. If it stinks, don't use it. I use a bucket and mesh paint bag setup when I pasteurize - I mix in ~40% vermiculite and ~5% gypsum, by volume and then pasteurize with hot water at 160F for a little over an hour. Then I sit the bag on the drain in my tub for six hours to drain and cool down.
Look on CraigsList for people in your area selling it - I'm also sure anyone around your town with horses would be glad to let you come over with a tub and pick as much manure as you want.
