Yeah, this totally needs to be discussed in Mushroom Cultivation Forum...

Terence McKenna Said:
"We have to create culture, don't watch TV, don't read magazines, don't even listen to NPR. Create your own roadshow. The nexus of space and time where you are now is the most immediate sector of your universe, and if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, then you are disempowered, you're giving it all away to icons, icons which are maintained by an electronic media so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y. This is shit-brained, this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion, and what is real is you and your friends and your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, your fears. And we are told 'no', we're unimportant, we're peripheral. 'Get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that.' And then you're a player, you don't want to even play in that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world."

I was just given a National Pressure Cooker Co. Model No. 7. The gasket had turned red and brittle and had cemented itself to the lid. It took me hours to clean all of that out. I got a new gasket and safety valve for it. But, needless to say, this post has got me worried. I have not tested mine yet.

Until I see pics of this persons PC and their "supposedly" 3rd degree burnt face,I am calling bullshit on this one...
Dudes,a third degree burn would be so painful that their is no way you would just be sitting at home, let alone posting to the boards, you would be screaming in agonizing pain.Just the air on the skin would be horribly painful.
^Don't believe me...go visit a burn ward in a hospital...my mom used to work in one...shit ain't pretty or fun...poor people.

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I heard '3rd degree burn.' I think people confuse the 3rd with the 1st, considering first to be the worst. Third degree burns consist of a burn in which the damage has progressed to the point of skin death. The skin is white and without sensation. Or charred.

i second the bullshit call. there is no such thing as 'slight' 3rd degree burns. in 3rd degree burns, the skin is totally lost, exposing the raw flesh underneath. i know from experience: i have never felt such intense pain before or since. the only burn worse is 4th degree burns, which chars the flesh as well.

And the tissue beneath is now exposed to the air and all the bacteria.

And be sure to put a piece of paper with the time and date (today is 05/14/2010) on it clearly in the picture....and let's see these supposed 3rd degree burns.

Oh, I didn't know that's how the rule worked... I guess its not off topic if ANY part of the story pertains to an item used within the realm of cultivation. *Sarcasm*
In that case, some people use a spoon to extract there spawn out from there jars, and right now I'm using a spoon to eat my cereal (Just woke up) When you guys finish a bowl of cereal, do you drink the milk from the bowl, or just pore it down the drain ? ...This should be ok in culti-forum because it pertains to a spoon, BUT HEY! At least I even asked a question, not just, "Hey guys, check it out, this shit happened to me"...
I personally refrain from posting things unless I truly think its of, "good" informational value, and it truly going to teach someone something pertaining to the direct topic of CULTIVATING MUSHROOMS, apposed to burning your face...
I REALLY don't give 2 shits about this post, or truly care where it goes, it just made me when I seen it in Culti. ...But when you question my opinion, your only taunting a highly detailed opinionated response back from me. I hope my analogy with the spoon helped you realize something, even tho its theme was meant to be silly.
