State Of The Union

Bush is talking about that "addicted to drugs" crowd.

Funny how he never mentioned jail/prison though isn't it?

Other thoughts on the speech?

Wait, wait, I'm confused. Now he's pushing drugs in Africa and the Caribbean. Did I miss something?

lol...I can't believe he said that he was striving for peace, and then his next sentance said something about "If war is pushed upon us..." I was like... WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Its more like he is striving for war and he has pushed war upon himself. ...he makes me want to vomit.

I thought it was a good speach. He gave a little different view of the war than you all believe, along with some reasons for it. Me tetering on the boarder between supporting it and not, that was a little nudge towards supporting it.

Anyway, it seems msot people here will discredit Bush no matter what he says, without really listening to what he is saying.

Well, the problem is that, as with most politicians, what he says and what he does are two entirely different things.

No stumbling this time.

Yeah, I can relate. I have heard both sides of the Iraq issue, and honestly think there are valid reasons on each side. So I'm neutral on the war right now, but it will probably happen (next month?).

Its all politics and what better way to win a war and be somewhat like a hero. This war with Iraq has little of nothing to do with anything besides trying to get Bush's votes up.

You Leftists crack me up. This man is our president who resides and protects us within our borders. Shall our borders be breached, no matter how, it is he who decides how to protects us. Would you rather have Gore trying to protect our nation....? I doubt it.

Man, I can't imagine what the world would be like if Gore were the president. But I guess my opinion doesn't matter since the shroomery is a majority to the left.

Gore probably wouldn't have handled 9/11 any differently, but we probably wouldn't be looking at war with Iraq right now if he were president.

Yeah, because all that matters is money, oil and rich people. The Bush regime is anti-environment. The environment is the basis of life. How will we survive without one?

A few months ago we were bombing Afganistan because they were the enemy. Then, our "O-so intellegent intellegence" couldn't pin-point a real, physical enemy, so they moved it over to Saddam. Fort the first year after 9/11, there was no mention of him. Now, since they cannot find anything else to take down in Afganistan, they must move on to other things to look like they have actually accomplished something.

Don't you think its fucked up that we should wage war on a country because they dont let us in to inspect everything. No way would we allow other countries to learn what the US is up to 24/7, and have inspectors.

It is just the finishing of Daddy Bush and to claim mor Oil.

Its funny because he said something like "Iraq is using weapons of mass destruction for power, and intimidation". Its kind of interesting but he is being a little hypocritical. Its the state of the union address, to speak about our domestic affairs ....the only thing he talked about was Iraq.

We are not protecting anyone by bombing and starting wars. This only increases tension and hatred, which leads to more killing. There is no way to protect the US. It was demonstrated on 9/11 when they used our own fucking airplanes to kill thousands. Its not like the US has a barrier to keep enemies out.

And Clinton wasn't?

And for the rest of your post... Like I said, "Its all politics, Bush needs something to show he's a hero to get re-elected like a war against Iraq"

Sure they do. That's why George Bush the First accomplished so much in his second term. *scratches head* When was that, again?
