Never again, Sugar based LC. grain FTW!

I am in the process of making my first grain lc. I have tried countless times in the past to make sugar based lc's and they have never worked for me. I like the fact you can see if there is a problem in the grain based lc's.
I inoculated the grain about 8 days ago with atl#7 and it was 85% colonized this after noon when i went to check on it so, I gave it a good shake and I expect i will be able to make the lc in 3 days or so. That gives me just enough time to prepare the substrate.
this hobby is the bees knees... I will post a picture of the jar I am using for the lc. the problem is i just shook it so I doubt you will be able to tell to much by the way it looks.

Dont hate cos you botched it. If you are sterile though out there will never be any problems. Have fun with the alt7 but why shake at 85%?

I just forgot to check it and I in retrospect do not know why I shook it at 85%. I guess that was a momentary lapse of judgment. I guess I figured it would distribute the myc through the rest of the jar. I did not take in to account the time for it to repair it's self, oh well..

I have killed many flies with sledge hammers. I prefer using a sledge hammer for just about every job, except for fucking. the sledge hammer isnt hard enough in comparison.

I like the turbinado LC's in baby food jars. Drill a hole, make an injection port out of ATV silicon, and voila! Great way to make LC! I love watching the balls of mycelium float around.

There is a forum posting for the tubinado LC. Its basically unrefined sugar that you can pick up at *$. one 5g packet (1tsp) to 220ml of water. Boil the water first then add the turbinado to disolve. Decant into jars. PC for 20-25 mins.

Karo + baby bottles = win. I've seen more impressive results with dex, etc. but that method is simple and effective.
