I am new too the teachings of magick and aleister crowley. What books do you recommend I start reading first, and I am wondering if you can explain to me the cast system, I don't understand it.

i think that anything youre about to learn from any book in the next few years better also be something youre able to throw away and move on from. if that means taking it with a grain of salt, or simply having strong ties with the real world (and by that i mean this one, with all its imperfections and wants) to fall back on if you stray but a little.
you are warned. once youre warned, you can prepare. or hear "you were warned" echo in yor mind forever. and you will hear it. you WILL get all these things you seek. consider what that really means. i give you my word.
otherwise. prepair and by all means go forth. trust me, if you succeed youll feel awfully silly at all the work you went through for something that comes to you all the time. by that i mean this "magick" http://www.thelemicgoldendawn.org/acf/

If you truly believe in majick, put the Crowley away! This is dangerous stuff. Crowley didn't know what or who he was getting his power from. These forces never give anything without wanting something in return. If youare serious about this, contact a group called Blue Star. They are a good place to start.

Do you have any more information on what you just said? I'm very interested...

Of the three previous posts to yours I find the second one far more interesting and incomplete.

I've been told Crowley is not for novices. He is not cook book, he will lead you astray. I don't practice magic, however i did read Moonchild, his novel. It's not bad, a little preachy, it has been awhile.

Personally I would recommend looking into chaos magic. Books by Phil Hine or Pete Caroll are recommended. Also you can visit www.chaosmagic.com, or http://www.phhine.ndirect.co.uk/ Chaos magic provides a general paradigm that tends to be more open to the entheogenic experience than your traditional neo-paganism. Your gonna get your self on to a very bad destructive path. I wouldn't go there iv 'e seen ppls lives destroyed. Demons will come when you open the door. It's not childs play. There are very real forces that you will soon come to know and wish you didn't.

I'll ditto that.
I feel that people are free to believe in whatever they want, though. But I'm also free to have different opinions.

We do not know how much substance a thought contains.
What we do know is that millions of young men dream and fantasize about banging Britney and driving a Ferrari; and we KNOW how much weight those thoughts carry by the amazing real-world manifestations.
You can add old-language chants, long robes and candles and the result will still be the same.

What so people claim to summon demons?!... i read some on banashings...but is there any credance to this stuff?
I am very curious but am close to dismissing this as nonscense. The sites looked very "pretty" with drawings etc. but i found the information to be confusing. If someone who is into this stuff could PM me i'd like to talk to someone about it, this is the first i've heard of it.
