and why dont i hear about people using brown rice as spawn?

12-24 hours like said in most teks.
Whole brown Rice has a horrible texture, gets sticky. You can use PF cakes as spawn, grains are better

You should only soak fuckers with your wife in the hot tub. As far as the grains I always do 24 for rye and wheat berries just like in RR's video Perfect every time.

Should add some gypsum to the soak, also.......it does help

Jar on the left has gypsum. Jar on the right does not.

Both were inoculated the same day. Shiitake is the strain.
