agar in grains
You want the grains NOT to be sticky. it would be a utter waste of agar.
Just stick with he standard teks when it comes to grains throw a pinch of gypsum in the soaking water for each jar

Uh dudes. Agar is only supposed to be sterilized for 20-30 minutes, 30 minutes tops.

These recipes are designed for agar maintenance of Psilocybe , but also other mushroom species. All media have a near-neutral pH and should be sterilized for twenty to thirty minutes at 15 psi pressure. This information is here in the shroomery archives http://www.shroomery.org/5243/What-are-some-good-agar-media-recipes
Maybe you 2 should familiarize yourselves with this. http://www.shroomery.org/9393/FastFreds-Media-Cookbook
No offense to RR. He is great but RR is not the only guy out there.

I have done enough agar work to know, and PC'ing 30-40 minutes has not done me wrong. Maybe there is something you don't get, Tell me perosnally have you PC'd agar for 30-40 minutes and have had problems or are you only basing it off other info you have read ??

So, you're saying that an extra 10 minutes in the PC is bad for agar?
 I disagree.
How long you sterilize agar has nothing to do with what you're transferring to it. It needs to be sterile, that's the point here, and longer sterilization (without going overboard) = more likely the agar is sterile.

20 mins has worked for me thus far. One thing they don't tell you is how much LME agar smells like boiling urine when you mix it with how water.
