Partially colonized jar pinning and fruiting? What should I do?
    #12541452 - 05/11/10 03:32 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Hi!

I have 2 jars (about 2 and half months old), they are like 75-90% colonized, but I noticed something green on the uncolonized parts, but I didn't have time to clean it up, so I just left it the way it was. And now it is still the same, maybe a bit more of mycelium (and I nearly don't see contamination any more, but I guess it is contaminated as some parts are still uncolonized). But on places where there is mycelium small mushrooms started growing.

So now I am wondering what should I do? Should I let them grow invitro? Or should I birth them in a bag or something small? Would they be safe to eat?

Photo (sorry, but I can't take better pictures, thus I tried to describe the problem as good as possible):

Thank you for your time and answers.

Honestly, I would of tossed it back when it started showing contamination. And I think that would be a good idea now.

Even if you decide to let them grow invitro you're gonna have to open the jar at some point which is probably just gonna release contaminates all over the place, and you don't want that. It's just gonna spread shit around your grow area that you don't want.

Toss that sucker far far away.

Yes, toss them.
