 Rock salt (drying) questions

When using rock salt (I live in MI, trust me, its rampant  is there any ingredients I should look out for that could possibly harm various types of fungi?
It would be used for drying purposes (after 24-48hr fan dry of course).

Epson salts is preferable over plain rock salt. Bake it, bust it up & use it instead.
It is cheap & can be had almost at any big Mart type store.
