do i have to mist before or after coldshock ;why?

you only need to mist when the casing layer appears to need hydration. after some experience this is second nature. a coco-verm layer is relatively easy to visibly guage for proper moisture content. straight verm is pretty tough. i have no experience with peat. (IIRC you doing peat-verm). IOW, there is no set timetable for casing rehydration, it is only done as necessary.

yes yes it is necessary but after or before coldshock . i experienced dung is too acidic or smtng else it sucks the water .i dont know do i succeed on this casing

i would say after. I have no conlusive proof of why. my theory is that during the coldshock the mycelium will slow down growth a great deal. this means it will not need anywhere near as much water. so any water you add before or during codlshock will just sit there. I'd say mist after coldshocking since the mycelium would be far more active at that point.
