Work in progress (1st trial) A+ p. cubensis
    #12462618 - 04/26/10 10:45 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Ok, so first off I'd like to say hello, and that I am new to cultivating my own p. cubensis'. This is my first trial, and I'll try to update as I go along on this project. But I have inoculated 3 1 quart mason jars with rye berries as substrate, and 2ml of A strain p. cubensis now, I had a issue with my incubator with the temp being too high, lowered it to 80F and had blossoming colonization accept for one with a black mold growth and now two more jars waiting after my first trial.

Now, I have three pictures the first is on 04/23 and the second on  04/24 of incubation of my casing with rye berries and sterelized and pH balanced peat moss.

Now next I have it in its fruiting stage with the temp being at 70F and  RH at 90-100%. I can see that the myceilum has started to turn to points and when I moved it to a more lighted environment the pins become more rigid or am I just seeing shit? Also did I wait to long to put into its Terrarium?

Image taken on 04/27 was put into Terrarium 04/25

I will keep this updated as progress comes along, Thanks for the help!

Oh, another question would direct water spray to the casing with some mycelium growth on it hurt the mycelium?

thanks again.

Edit: thought you had mad trich but it's a peat moss casing. Reading is fundamental.  :facepalm3:

How colonized was it before you went to fruit? In the last pic it doesn't look like 100%. When the top is 100% white i'll wait another week to make sure it is completely colonized in the middle. Then i'll fruit. You can mist it directly. Just don't over mist.

I figured like a 50/50 ratio of mycelium to  peat I have not misted it yet could that be a pin trigger? I did it when I woke up today but I take it waiting till its 100% is not a bad idea, but I've seen other people do alot different teks from mine that have like a 50/50 ratio to casing and mycelium.

Also ty for the advice!
